Stone Island Thermo Reflective Parka, AW2012

Staying with League Division 1 of the High End, this is Neil's Thermo Reflective Parka from Stone Island A/W 2012 collection. This jackets material combines two of Stone Island's most avant-garde research paths. It explores the interaction between light refraction and thermo-sensitivity technologies. The resins used to coat the nylon substrate host both the glass micro-spheres allowing fabric refraction and the micro-encapsulated pigments modifying the passage of light and thus enabling color changes in relation to temperature. The final effect is an organic and dynamic interaction of light and colour. The garments in THERMO REFLECTIVE interact and morph with the movements of the wearer. The coating of this fabric makes it water and wind resistant.
