C.P. COMPANY TO CELEBRATE 40TH ANNIVERSARY AT PITTI UOMO

The year 2015 will be marked by a series of celebrations to commemorate C.P. Company’s 40th anniversary. Since its founding, the brand has always stood out as an innovative and pioneering sportswear brand. The Pitti Uomo will get started on the afternoon of June 16 with a series of opening celebrations only few steps from the Fortezza, in Florence’s Dogana district. The main act for the Opening Ceremony event will be the Goggle Jacket, the historical functional garment created in 1988 as the official jacket for the Mille Miglia endurance racecar drivers offering practical details such as goggles integrated within the hood and on the wrist of the left sleeve. This vintage piece is being offered as a limited edition jacket at the Pitti Uomo – 40 pieces per model and in different fabric versions. Three of these jacket models will be offered with varying fabrics starting in December 2015 at select stores around the world. As always, FGF Industry, the brand owner, has created the hashtag #cp40th and invites all participants at the event in Florence to take a selfie wearing their favorite Goggle jacket and post it with the hashtag. Some of the images collected will be featured in the commemorative “#cp40th” book to be published a few months after Pitti Uomo. C.P. Company was founded by visionary garment engineer Massimo Osti, who initially experimented with dyeing technique and always demonstrated his firm belief in the importance of fabric innovation and experimentation in all his collections. Today the brand is owned by Enzo Fusco, expert designer and entrepreneur, and a connoisseur in the fashion and sportswear world. Fusco is also creative director and brand design office manager with designers Paul Harvey and Alessandro Pungetti. As Fusco says, “at C.P. Company we have as much passion and enthusiasm now as when we first started out, while creating contemporary fashion based on long experience. C.P. Company is a unique brand that – today as in the past - continues to fulfill customer expectations.”
